Two common negotiation goals
Payment adjustment. Many MCA agreements tie payments to a percentage of your receivables. When revenue drops, a reconciliation or modification request can bring the payment back in line with what the business actually takes in.
Settlement or payoff. Some funders will accept a reduced payoff, either as a lump sum or over a short schedule, rather than continue collection efforts. Whether this is possible depends on the account, the funder and your ability to fund the settlement.
What we prepare before contacting a funder
- A summary of the agreement terms, payments made and balance claimed
- Current bank statements showing actual receivables and expenses
- A realistic proposal that your business can perform
- A record of every communication and offer
Why performance matters
A settlement your business cannot keep up with can leave you worse off than before. We build proposals around your real cash flow, so that if a funder agrees, you can actually complete the terms.
Your approval is required
Every proposed agreement is reviewed with you before acceptance and documented in writing. You decide whether to accept.
Questions
Do funders have to negotiate?
No. Participation is voluntary. Some funders negotiate readily; others do not. We cannot force a funder to accept any terms.
Should I keep paying while you negotiate?
That depends on your agreements and circumstances. Saldo Vita does not give blanket instructions to stop payments, because doing so can trigger defaults, lawsuits and other consequences.
