How MCA debt negotiation works, step by step

Knowing what happens at each stage helps you make better decisions and spot companies that skip important steps.

  1. Initial conversation. You describe your business, debts and immediate pressures. We explain how the process works and whether it may be a fit.
  2. Document review. We review agreements, bank statements, payoff letters and any court papers.
  3. Strategy. We map all obligations, identify priorities and set a realistic payment level.
  4. Funder communication. We contact funders, present your documented situation and propose terms.
  5. Offers and counteroffers. Funders respond. We review every offer with you and explain the trade-offs.
  6. Written agreement. Accepted terms are documented in writing, including how payments work and what happens to UCC filings and guarantees.
  7. Performance. You make the agreed payments. We stay available if questions come up.

Questions to ask any debt relief company

  • How are you paid, and when?
  • Will you ever tell me to stop paying my funders?
  • Will I approve every agreement before it is signed?
  • Are you a law firm? If not, who handles legal issues?
  • Can I see every communication you send on my behalf?

Questions

How long does the process take?
